As of 30 August 2017, there are an estimated 1.76 million IDPs across the six states in NorthEast Nigeria among which includes 1.3 million in Borno, 139,000 in Adamawa and 106,000 in Yobe. 34% of these IDPs were displaced by the BH insurgency. In the northeast as of October 2017, 81% of the IDP population are children and women most of which have been separated with their families as a result of the insurgency.

CHAD is focusing on the reunification of most of these children displaced and/or Separate by the insurgency to their Primary Caregivers (Parents/Relatives).
