57% of public schools remain closed in the inaccessible areas of Borno as of 30 September 2017.
According to IOM’s DTM assessment in May, 91% of IDP children have access to education. However, in 39 sites less than 75%. As of June, there has been no education for children in Banki for the last three months as a result of teachers fleeing insecurity.
Although, schools are resuming in some of the said communities, CHAD INT’L through its partners is carrying out its activities on formal/ non-formal education campaign to reach children and adolescent in remote locations whose education was stopped due to the insurgency.
