Center for Community Health and Development (CHAD) International is a non-discriminatory, non-partisan and non-governmental organization which has the mandate to promote the health and protect the lives of young people and women in Nigeria, having her root in the northeast and with over 18 years of working experience in both developmental and humanitarian response. CHAD is responding majorly in the Northeast to mitigate the impact of the protracted crisis on the affected population especially women and young people through the following activities: Child Protection (Case Management of UASC, FTR, Alternative Care, Psychosocial Support), Education in Emergency, Democracy and Good Governance, HIV/Aids, working with MSMs and other Key Populations(KPs) across 4 Northeastern states and 2 other Eastern states; Borno, Yobe, Gombe and Adamawa including Imo and Anambra states and funded by UNICEF, Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), DFID, IRISH aid, Society for Family Health (SFH), Terre des hommes Tdh (Swiss Solidarity), GIZ, Save the Children, among others with great records of achievements.
CHAD is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria and an active member of THE ALLIANCE for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action. CHAD adopts a multi-sectoral and a right-based approach and strives for excellence by working in line with international standards. CHAD works in collaboration with Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (MWASD), CPSWG, GBVSWG, EIEWG, and other relevant stakeholders while ensuring sustainability and promoting the participation and accountability of the affected population.
