CHAD is a non-discriminatory, non-governmental organization with a mandate to improve the health and quality of life of Nigeria’s rural children and women. CHAD was establish in 2002 by a group of women from different religious and ethnic background in Gombe state, North East Nigeria.

Formation of support group of people living with HIV/AIDS in Gombe state with support from Federal Medical Center, Gombe State and Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN)
Workshop on management of HIV/AIDS for People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
HIV/AIDS awareness and stigma reduction campaigns supported by UNICEF.
HIV/AIDS awareness campaign in tertiary institution- Social Development Institute (SDI) Kumo in Akko Local Government Area in Gombe State an activity supported by UNICEF.
Improving Reproductive Health and Sexual behavior among in school youths (series of activities), supported by Development Cooperation Ireland.
Treatment Access workshop for people living with HIV/AIDS, women groups, Non-Governmental Organization,Civil Society Organizations, Faith Based Organization in Gombe state

Carried out Advocacy visit to relevant stakeholders commissioners Ministry of Education, Chairman LACA Gombe LGA, State Coordinator World Health Organization to support introduction of TB education in schools in Gombe State.
Conducted a one day meeting with selected students in 5 schools on promoting TB education in schools in Akko LGA with support from TBL unit in Gombe LGA.

Organized an Interactive session between Children & Major Stakeholders during the Global Launch on Children & HIV/AIDS in collaboration with Gombe State Government, with support from UNICEF.
Promoting human right education in school establish Child Right clubs and held sensitization meeting with important stakeholders including teachers and PTA members with support from an OHCHR and UNDP project under a project on Assisting Communities Together (ACT) in Gombe state.

Enhancing participating leadership, gender awareness and mainstreaming at community development level and in management of schools through an interactive dialogue with Village Community Development Association (VCDA), Chairpersons and Schools management committees and Community Youth Groups in the 6 focus communities in Funakaye, Yamaltu/Deba and Shongom LGA in Gombe State.
A pilot program aimed at promoting gender mainstreaming and equity at local government level through an interactive dialogue with LGA Chiarmen and Councilors from Yamaltu/Deba, SHongom, Funakaye LGAs.
Facilitated a gender sensitive input into Gombe State Strategic Plan of action on HIV/AIDS responses from 16th-27th June, 2006.
